Had a set of HD front and rear springs installed, new shocks, I was also able to procure 14x6 JK rims from Phil Reed, had them blasted and painted "Roman Red", picked up a set of 8.00x14 BF Goodrich Silvertown Bias Plys from Coker, had them mounted and balanced and also got a personalized plate (Phil liked it quite a bit). Now I'm all ready for the 348-409 Convention. I also drove the Bubble up to Phils Classic Auto last Thurs to show it off. See you all in September

Seeing that car gets my blood boiling! And I love those plates.

Did I mention I bumped into a retired Highway patrolman in the KC area and that his badge # was "409"? Guess what his license plates read?

I think "409 HP" in MO plates ought to be distributed to a few select "409 heads" who live in and about Missouri... You can bet your bottom dollar I got his phone# and made him an offer for more than a single set of plates :) Don;t have 'em yet but I have patience and perserverance!

See you in KC!

Dave, great looking Bel-Air, I have an almost twin to yours. Mine has the Calif. one piece bumpers, no outside review mirror, and my radio antenna is on the right rear quarter deck. My per. plate is 62BT409. Tried to get 62BA409, but out here in sunny Calif., the DMV in all their politically correct, head up their tailpipe wisdom decided BA had a bad connotation. Tried to explain it meant Bel-Air, but was told "we know what else it means". Only thing I have added was an AM/FM CD player under the dash using exisiting holes. I also have same tires and wheels, but also a set of BF Goodrich TA's on rallye wheels, which are alot more comfortable to cruise with. :D
