the factory intake will work with the 348 low performance heads correct?...and also, would i better off, performance wise, with the 2x4's rather then the 3x2's?

Although the manifold will bolt up, you will have a severe mismatch, as the manifold ports are much larger than those of the heads. This will cause a big turbulance problem, and poor performance. I think you would be better off with the matching 3-2 setup.

Offenhauser makes a 2 four manifold that is made for the lowpo heads. If you buy this manifold get the low rise and add your own phenolic plastic risers ;) . The three twos will give you killer performance if set up correctly and gearheads will drool :love over your engine.

The tri-power or the Offy would also be my choice.

Which is why we need an aluminum high rise 4 barrel intake, like a Edlebrock Performer RPM for 348's and lo po 409's.

ok, so for performance, which should i use, the offy 2x4 or the 3x2?...im going to be using a motor combo that fatride gives me, i beleive around 330hp.

Both manifolds should make similar top end power but I think the 3X2 would give you the better torque and throttle responce. Having said that though I used to have an Offy dual quad on a really mild 409 and it worked great.
