OK OK OK OK, I know I have asked this before but there is a complete used Corvette front disk setup on ebay, spindles rotors and calipers, they are said to be off an 81. Every thing I check says that these are the same from about 68-81. The cool thing is that the spindles look to me like they are the same as our 58-64 X-frame cars. The only differences I see is the steering arm (which is bolt on) is different, and it has caliper brackets that also bolt on. Why could'nt you use the spindle, unbolt the steering arm and bolt on the arm from the X-frame car? Or for that matter just use vette caliper brackets, calipers and rotors, and mount them to your old drum spindle? If youguys want to take a look, I think I typed in corvette caliper in EBAY, they were a used rusty set, said to be off of an 81, but it showed good pictures of the front and back!!! Any one ever done this???

go for it, you be the first. Noboby ever flew the Atlantic before Charlie ! remember Fulton's follie, Stewart's ice box. Take the ball, run with it.
Can you tell I'm a motivational speaker?
Just being me.
I really don't know the answer, but I can say that the is more then just bolting on the parts to make this work. There is steering geomotry involved here . you don't want to bolt this in and find out that you can't align the steering axle or the car not track straight, I have a feeling that those parts are not going to be cheap. I would do more research before I jumped in with both feet. I know that someone the left coast has tried this . How it turn out, I don't know. Best of luck.

This has been done before. I even read an article in a mag one time about this mod. As I remember the only mod was that some of the early holes had to be reamed out from 7/16th to 1/2" or such. It has been covered here or at CT before.
Remember these use the expensive 4 piston calipers.
