Just a few pics I shot this morning when I trailored the SS over to the shop to attend to a few details before we install the engine. Today we removed the original brakes lines, mocked up the lines for a dual cylinder (still need some work there), ran new fuel lines (3/8"), removed the gas tank (no build sheet :(), removed the 3.08 open rear end and began to work on the 3.36 posi unit. All in all, a fun day was had.
Saturday we start again with renewed vigor and commitment. It's 11:30 PM and I'm tired, as we started at 7:30 AM.
More later!

While I was doing this last night it did snow about 2 inches, which probably puts the kebosh on the local car show that starts this (Saturday) morning. Now I get to spend more time on the car today!
Plans today are to install the posi, new gas tank and lines, then begin attack the brake lines and new dual master cylinder. It's hard doing all this stuff with the engine sitting there on a rolling stand just 20 feet away, just asking to be installed :). First things first.
It's funny how many things you think you have covered and then you find out you didn't have this or that. Forgot to order new bushings for the 4th link, for example. The good news is that my basement is now seeing things fly off the shelves and onto the vehicle :). With all that new found room I'll have more space for future parts :)
Cheers!

TomO:
I think you should come over. I plan on working hard on this the next few days, but then I take a week off to go skiing in Colorado with the guys :). Might be mid Febrarury for that fire up, who knows? After installing I need to send it off for exhaust work. That will take some time (mostly for me to coordinate the drop off and pick up of the vehicle). I will keep you posted as things develop.
Hey, we can tear down that "W" engine (truck motor) I found in the weeds and see if you can use any parts from it. I believe it to be a truck 348 from 1965, and if it has double eyebrows we lose :). If not, maybe you can use it. At least you can get a timing chain cover and maybe an oil pan (I recall a big gash in that, however).
More later as things develop!

Tom -
If you are driving to/from the airport to the slopes in Colorado and need lunch, call me. I'm about five minutes off I-70 and one minute off highway 58.
