I'm looking in the 63 assembly manual but they only list part numbers for the lug wrench and jack portion.

I know the original jack in my '63 has the T shaped post where the base above has the other style. (hollow post) Both styles may have been used though, I know both were used for Chevelles.

The orignal jack i got is the V type jack looking down from top the jack looks like this.

\_/ <------ and has teeth on the flat part for the jack to move up.

Also what color was the jack itself. it looked like a iron color to me but i painted it a aluminum color but it faded off and want to paint it the correct color

Ah, your diagram set off the bells in my head. :D Pictures say a 1,000 words.

That is the kind my '63 has, not the T shape. (my 66 Chevelle has the T) Not trusting my memory anymore, I put my coat on and went out to confirm it! :rofl (this is what happens when you get too many toys)

My base plate has the same shape as your diagram but there is no fancy cutout like the one shown in the top picture. (the cut out part that looks like you'd hang it up) How's that for a description?

Mine originally had a silver color or natural finish for the post and the rest (hook, base and jack mechanism) were black. I refinished mine and used gloss black and Eastwoods aluma blast. Now it looks too new but better than having it rust again I guess.
