Hello evryone

I have a 62 w/a 283 never out of the car. I change oil once a year using fully synthetic oil. However I have notice since fall that everytime I start the car it smokes around the exhaust manifold area. The motor runs good but does leak antifreeze. I am thinking a freeze plug is bad in the rear. Also, since it is leaking should I get it rebuilt or just change the plugs? It runs good but does have 98,000 miles on it.

You may want to check the valve covers.

They are either loose - or the gaskets have failed from old age. Certainly no indicator of a needed engine rebuild.

Replace the core plugs. Not the most fun job to do - especially those rears - as the transmission will require removal.
