I have a complete nos rear window defogger that i bought from a man years ago . He said that it fit the following GM cars 67-69 Camaro and Firebird , 64-72 Chevelle, GTO, Lemans , Skylark , Cutlass , 442 . 59-76 Impala convertibles It is complete and mint as far as i can tell with hardware , wire harness and defogger on and off switch and bezel . On the hardware bag there is a number 3030571 . I don't know what it fits but i Know that it won't fit my 62 convertible . please if any of you guys can help me identify this kit . i appreciate it very much.

WOW. I seriously doubt if fits all of those applications. (the blower motor might but not the other parts) I know Chevelles were different through alot of the years. Especially in the grill outlet design. I know for Chevelle, 69 used a long thin outlet, 70-72 used a more compact rectangular outlet. 70 grill was metal, 71-72 was plastic. (see, lots of differences) I would think that this would be the same case for other cars. (and that's just hardtops!)

Be sure you identify it correctly before selling so you don't lose money. An example; if it fits a 70 Chevelle convertible, I've seen one of those puppy's sell for $1,500 dollars!!! (and that may have been a used unit) The convertible units are very, very rare!!!!!!!!!!! On the other hand, used hardtop Chevelle units sell for $50-65-ish all day long.

I sure wish the Hollanders manuals covered things like this, I'd love to look up that number for ya but no can do. :(

Do your homework, don't rush into anything...

I've seen a 63 Impala 2dr ht with a rear window defroster and it had a knob under the dash that yuo would twist to select the speeds of the motor. The knob looked just like a 63 radio knob. The grille on the rear dash was metal and was basically a rectangle, with the bottom side longer than the top. [__\ Kinda like that. The fins in the grille were like that of the vents in the kick panels on a 63. Hope this helps.

I bet an oldie like that can fetch a few bucks. I've never seen one for a '63 yet. (except for the accessory pamphlet-or at least, I think that's where I saw one)

So here's a trivia question... What was the first year for the rear window defogger in a Chevrolet? (no, I don't have the answer!) :D
