Im finally sick of my trucks speedometer running too fast so I did the math and figured out what gears I need. Went to the Chevy dealer and for some reason, he can only get 2 of them so I have to buy both. Very odd but he's gonna let me have them for cost. $3.39 each plus tax. Anyone need one? I'll give you a deal on it. This is the 3/4" gear. :D
BTW, if your speedometer is running incorrectly, take your rear gear ratio X 20.2. Divide the total by the tire diameter. Then take that number and compare with the chart on either of these pages:

Use this page to get the colors of the gears: http://www.tciauto.com/tech_info/speedo_gears.htm
In my case, my rear ratio is 3.73X20.2=75.346 Take that number and divide it by the tire diameter. My tires are 26.5 inches tall. Total is 2.84 (rounded out) On the charts, it says that I need the Pink 7 tooth transmission gear and the blue 20 tooth speedometer gear.
This worked out in my favor because I already have the pink gear in the transmission.
Well, that concludes this lesson of speedometer gears... :D
