i currently have a th350 in my car with the stock rear.
i am going to a 4-speed, is the driveshaft gonna be the same length?
its only tempory, till i get the 9" in, and new driveshaft. i just wanna be able to drive the car onto my trailer, rather than push it

tom, i know the early t-10s have a different spline(coarse) as your 350(fine spline), I think the length is the same, but not 100% on that. If you are using a Muncie, the spline is the same as well as the length, and the shaft will work as is.

There were 3 different length TH350's so you would need to measure it.

I was just assuming a short 350, it will be the same as your M21.

I figured that too but wanted to impress everyone that I knew about them. :D :rofl
Would a longer trans even work in these cars?

i just got in a 64SS today, sbc car that had the powerglide replaced with a th350 and it has a long tail on it, so yes the longer trans will work...if you need a driveshaft.....the car is getting parted out, the rustiest car i have ever seen.

Hey guys!!! I just put a 9" in my 62 and the pinion is only about 3/4 of an inch towards the rear of the car, on my car that wasn't a big deal because the slip yolk eas in the trans pretty far for some reason, if that is too far for your car you could use a pinion yolk from a mid 70s thunder bird, the yolks are longer than the rest of the 9" rears.
