Hello,
I have read several of the starter and flywheel posts and I am still a little confused. I am building a 1960 348. I have a cast iron bellhousing that I think is from 1957 or 58. I am using a 168 tooth flywheel. The 348 block has three threaded holes for bolting a starter UP to the block. The bellhousing also has three holes for bolting a starter. Can I use a starter that bolts to the bellhousing, or do I need one that bolts to the block? I am not concerned about numbers matching correctness, only functionality.
THANKS for all the help.
