i am looking for drag shocks for my 61. Comp engineering doesn't list a application for our year cars. i haven't pulled out the stocks shocks yet to measure and see if i can modify another to fit. Anyone already crossed this bridge?

I use camaro-chevelle frt drag shocks. The top is different than an x frame shock but works fine . The frt end in stock form doesn't have enough travel to fully extend & bottom this shock / Gm coil spring rear shocks [ 64-72 chevelle ] are a little shorter but also work well, Comp engineering shocks are a good buy for the money. :)

yeah, i was looking at specs and the chevvyII fronts are about an inch longer than the camaros and i firgured i could make an extension like the ones you could by at the parts house, but i haven't seen these in quite a while

i got comp engineering drag shocks for the rear of my 63, but they had no fronts listed. I just got a$10 set from C.A.P., that have been working fine. the car 60 foots 1.70`s on street tires with the SBC in it

Hans,
I recall one of our members (Gerry) asking about drag shocks (30/70) or something for his 61. Go to members list and find him and go through his threads. Hope this helps.
