Well ,,,,Got my $29 set of slicks from Hottire.net and what a great set of rubber! With shipping came to $75.
Got the air bags and if all goes well should have the line loc this week.
Sold some junk on Ebay to cover it.
AND the GOOD NEWS !!!! Checked this stupid life insurance policy the ex bought for me and it`s cash value is just enough to buy that high dollar manifold.....Hummmmm???
If it happens I`ll still get this set-up runnig in top form before the switch over so I really can compare the difference. Besides it will need new and larger carbs.
Speeking of the ex,,,,,been helping her do estate sales and just can`t seem to keep from bring all this COOL old stuff home. Got a van full as I type.
Cool stuff like dishes and a cooking pan set,,,old cool fans and clocks and,,,,,, REALLY cool bar stuff :cheers . For my new live-in garage I`ll build after the house sells.
I`ll post a few pictures of a few things I`ll run on Ebay for her.

Hey DQ when you put the air bags in be sure and drill a big enough, make that a really big hole in the spring perch for the tubing to run through. Then let the weight down slowly keeping the tubing from pinching in this area. I kept puting a 100 lbs. pressure on the bag but it wouldn't blow up until I found that it was pinched. This holds true for every time you jack the wheel up. Sounds like a lot of trouble but if you know to look at the bag each time it isn't much trouble.:cheers Roy

I finished putting the 409 back in the wagon last week. This weekend did a little tuning, and it feels better then ever. Can't wait to go to a test and tune to see if I can get it in the 12's. DQ I'm waiting for you to get that manifold. I want to see how much your car improves with it.
I can't believe I waited this long to get it back together, but I'm grinning from ear to ear now!!!:D

Well as of this point I CAN NOT reccomend Hotire.net due to the fact they sent me a set of Stock Car tires.
:cuss WORTHLESS !! :cuss
I`m waiting to see how they handle the returning of these tires.
I can buy used roundy-round tires here local for 10 buck each.
Think I`ll go with a set of new D.O.T Drag Radials. Checking on prices now,,,,dq
