will the 63-64 self adjusting brake system work for the 62 impala non adjusting brake sytem . will i be able to swap them to my 62 impala since they use the same brake parts other then the self adjusting brakets that came on the 63 -64 ? :?

yes you can.the only differance in the backing plates that i know of is the 63-64s don't have the slots for an adjusting tool.

These are available in kit form from your local parts house. At least they were fro0m mine.

The adjusting slot is in the drum....... I think !

1st project car 1965 chevy impala. just finshed gutting out. i was told i could use a complete disc brake system off a el camino or monte carlo 79-81 is that true?

1st time restorer. Im building a 1965 Chevy Impala, I just finished gutting out the car which was the easiest part. Now I want to start on the front brakes,and get rid of the old drum brakes to power disc brakes. I was told by a friend of mine that i could use the front disc brake system off a El Camino or Monte Carlo (79-81). Is that true? :help
