Sunvisor vanity mirror question

I just scored a mint condition 1966 Impala vanity mirror for $5.00 on ebay. (yeh, even I get lucky sometime!) How do these attach? It has 2 studs on the back.

must attach to the material before it is fully assembled or sewed up.
the studs do not go through both sides.

I thought these were dealer installed?

I just ordered repro visors to match the new headliner so they are already assembled.
