Hi, now that I put my 409 in my 1960 biscayne 2 doors ,I like to upgrade the old master cylinder that only have one brake line.
I d'like to put a master cylinder with 2 brake lines make more safe if one brake line broke ,is anybody know what master cylinder with double brake lines could fit there from another full size chevrolet ,that would help me a lot Thanks.

I just did this on my 1962 Impala, and I am guessing they are quite similar. I followed the advise provided in the discussion threads already mentioned, it's a pretty simple process.

I recall the dual master unit I purchased at a local parts store was from either 1969 or 1970, with equal size reservoirs. I had purchased all new brake lines for the conventional single master cylinder unit, so I had to make a few extra pieces to fit the dual setup. Not a problem. I kept the standard drum brakes. If you are thinking to upgrade to discs in the front (or rear, or both), you will need to dig a little deeper and look at dual cylinders that support that type of application.

Good luck!
