Looking for an old 348-409 distributor, worn out or what ever. All I want it for is to prime my motor. I have a BBC primer, which will turn the pump, but doesn't put any oil up top. Not a lot of help!!!!!!!!

Fred,
Do a search on here. I did a post some time back about the primer I machined for the "W" motor.

I have a modified truck Dist that I use for prime. If you don't find one you are welcome to use mine.

I use a primer made from an aluminum SB/BBC distributor. When I want to prime a W engine, I punch out the pin in the drive gear and replace the alum piece with the brass piece that I machined to 348/409 distributor specs. I didn't have a distributor that I could cut up, so I went this route.
