The book was fantastic! I read it over several evenings when I went to bed and my wife was wondering what the chuckling, sighing and laughing was all about!
Great reading!

i too finished reading your book over the weekend. it really reflects the way kids grew up in the 50s and 60s. i have always felt blessed to have enjoyed these times. kids today will never know what they have missed. great book! thank you for sharing.

I too just finished Bill's book. it came friday night and i had read the whole thing by saturday morning. i havent read a book nonstop since 7th grade! i found the attention to detail amazing to say the least. he painted a picture in my minds eye so realistically, i felt as though i was there and looking. truly astonishing and i cant thank you, (wild bill) enough for sending it to me. i was born in md. october 11 1958 so the story is a little ahead of my time, but the similarities are uncanny. thanx for the glimpse into parts of your life story. I usually imagine the 40s and 50s in black and white..... this book helped to change some of that. thanx again.

Great Book! :cheers It reads like a series of stories from a guy that's good at telling them. Wild Bill really does a great job of taking you back to the days when cars were everything.

Thanks for the book, reading it certainly brings back some of the memories of growing up. Why don't you try to come to Norwalk on June 3rd-5th a lot of the group will be there with their 409s, 348s and others, it is only about an hour from your home.
Thanks Again

Bill, many thanks for the title :)
I try to read just one chapter at a time, so as to prolong the laughter :). It's hard to put it down, as it chronicles the thoughts and actions of many a young buck from back then.
Thanks for the enjoyable read. My wife hasn't caught on that it's about cars and girls, she thinks it's good that I'm not reading about 409s for a change. Boy, would she be surprised :).
Thanks, and I hope to meet you in Norwalk :)
