Finished rebuilding the motor at about 11:00am today. Spent the rest of the day putting the motor in the dragster and at 9:52 PM central daylight time, the tremendous roar from north of Chicago was the motor firing up for the first time this season! :clap :clap :cheers No leaks, no problems... just that beautiful rumble of the 409 :D :D Special thanks to my wife and partner, Bonnie for helping and most of all, putting up with me... :bow :bow She is a true gearhead. Shakedown run is planned for this Saturday at the Grove.
