Bob,do you determine the star rating on a thread? Why I ask there's a thread in 348-409 Engines with 2 replys and 30 views that has a 5 star rating :dunno

Not sure if it's only me (administrator) but I can rate a thread even if I don't reply to it. Can you guys do that?

Go to a thread and near the top right, see if you can click on "rating"

It's funny that anyone that bothers to rate a thread, always gives it a 5. :D

I'm going to give this one a 3 just to be different! :p

Bob

Before I even replied to the thread it showed four stars, I put it as two stars and it went to three. It must take the average of the votes but apparently you don't even need to reply to vote.

Ok I see how this works now,I just rated the 2 Norwalk threads with 5 stars. Now everybody can vote there thread to be 5 stars

I have nothing against Blue Swede and Jonnyrod, but if they can rate there thread 5 stars, why can't everbody rate there threads with 5 stars :dunno

I rated the both Norwalk threads with 5 stars, because one thread has 3,982 views and the other thread has 1,485 views

Bob,what thread are you talking about that you rated? My point is how can anybody rate a thread when it has very few views or replys :dunno I think a thread should be rated when it has at least 100 views and maybe 10 replys. How can you rate a thread that has 30 views and 2 replys :dunno

i agree, i only did it to see if it could be done, and i gave it 5 stars.

Well I recently gave 5 stars to a post where I was the first one to reply. I liked the question the poster asked so I thought it deserved a 5.
