I don't know about you guys, but I surely spend more time at the swap meets rather than the car show itself. I usually don't even look at the cars in the show, I hit the swap and then head for home. Last week i bought a complete set of NOS dog dish hubcaps for my 66 Chevelle and for a very reasonable price. At the same swap meet I picked up a single NOS 61/62 belair-biscayne dog dish hubcap, would you believe for $1.00 yes (ONE DOLLAR) The day before at another swap meet I bought a steel goodmark cowl induction hood for my 2003 GMC crew cab for $150.00.
that hood usually retails for about $500.00 I already dropped it off at the body shop for paint. I bought so much stuff at the first swap meet that I pulled my truck into the swap area to pick up all of my purchases. I think I left with more than a lot of the swappers had brought to sell. In fact people were confused after I loaded my truck I had stopped to talk to somebody and people started asking how much i wanted for some of the parts, They thought I just pulled in and had not unloaded yet. I can agree with that Todd. I spend my time going through the parts and if I have any energy left after that, I sometimes look at a few cars. :p

I guess I have more fun looking at stuff I can afford over that which I can't. :D

I never see those $1 dollar NOS dog dish caps though. That just doesn't happen around here.

Have any 66 Impala dog dishy's? That's on my punch list. :brow

I will keep my eyes open for the impala dog dish caps. there was a set on ebay a couple weeks ago that were here in minneapolis.

The NOS caps for a dollar don't happen here too often either.
I just came home from a swap meet this morning, empty handed :(
Wish I had some extra $$$$ though, I saw a 57 Chevrolet Convertible selling for way too low of a price. I bet a guy could have easily made $10,000 just for bringing it home. and then reselling it.
as i was walking out there was a Beautiful 62 Belair 2 door sedan pulling into the car show, red on red with 409 emblems on the fenders.

I have to say I like the two door sedans better then the bubble top sport coupes.
I also like the impala roof line better than the sport coupe as well.
(that is not going to be a popular statement now is it.)

I'll be at the Dunkirk, NY flea market next weekend selling everything I can. One thing to note, Ebay has taken a lot of parts out of flea markets and a lot of guys (including me) will be looking for Ebay items. We'll be there all 3 days, selling and buying.
