You've just installed a set of all vinyl seat covers in your 66 Impala. Car resides outside. Do you armor all them? Use something else? Use nothing?

Thanks,

Bob

Bob, my seats have vinyl inserts, Cars inc. says do not use Armor All on the vinyl. Better check first!

I wouldn't use Armor All on anything.
The silicone based protectant will do more harm than good.
it will leave a weird residue, sure it looks good after an application or re-application.
but what it leaves behind is harmful.
Ask the manufacturer what type of care or protectant they recommend.
Believe it or not,......the roll up toneau cover on my truck (Access Roll-up cover)
they recommend Pledge furniture polish as a protectant and cleaner.
I use a rubber and vinyl protectant from Meguiars.

if you ever plan to paint your car do not use anything containing silicone anywhere near it . Silicone and paint dont play well together.

Thanks guys, I'll have to see if I can contact PUI. I doubt the vendor (Classic Industries) would be able to help so I'll go straight to the maker. :D

That was fast! A reply within an hour. Here's what they said:

Bob,

For the most part, just leave them alone. If the covers start showing dirt or soil,
just clean them with a mild soap and water solution. Plain Dawn dish detergent
should work just fine. Armoral is just going to magnify the dirt and really isn't
all that good for the material.

Thanks
Ron

I like the look and feel of them the way they are so I'm happy with the answer. That's ALOT of vinyl to be slip slidin' around on anyway! :D

I wouldn't use Armour All on ANYTHING automotive!. And it turns tires brown (whitewall cleaner takes it right off).

That said, I slop it on the cover for my hot tub. Maybe I shouldn't do that either.
