wow,

thats just like this collection we heard about in sutton,ma.

supposidly this guy had a warehouse full of old corvettes. heard the rumors since i was a little kid. about 5 yrs ago, a very wealthy friend of my dad got a chance to get in there, and since he has no clue about cars, he brought my dad and i. He wanted to buy a 53 vette.

All i can say, when we went there, it was car guy heaven. there was this little old man waiting for us. he opened the door to this warehouse, and i had never seen anything like it. he had over 100 cars stored in there, 53-62 vettes, multiple ones of every year except 53. t-birds, mustangs, chevelles, etc. there was 2 storys of cars!!
the back of the warehouse, was all shelfs, with every part you can imagan.

My dads friend didnt end up buying the 53, but we became good friends with the owner. Seems he collected all his life, and was gonna give everything to his 2 sons. his sons wanted nothing to do with the cars, they told him to sell everything and give them the money. so thats what he was doing. i guess he took a liking to me and my dad cause we do cars togther. every sun morning we would meet him @ 8 with a coffee for him, and go throught the warehouse.
we bought a 61 fuelie vette( no motor), 59 vette, 62 vette, a 68 427 tri power complete motor, a couple 62 327`s. Sadly Leo died within a year of our first time there. his sons sold everything.
i got tons of pics, i got to find a scanner, and ill try to post them.

From the article:

"There are 36 vintage Corvettes in the garage below the former Daily News printing plant in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. ... The plant is now a condo, and its residents are wondering why the cars are taking up their spaces."

:cry Poor babies. Have to park around those dusty old cars. :cry

Will someone like pulleeze get these old cars like out of the way so I can park my HUMmerrr? Like duh I mean really whatEVerrrr.

What a dream come true!!!

One of every year Corvette. I hope to have just a few years in a row of full size Chevy passenger cars, in particular 1961, 1962 and 1963. And I thought that was ambitious :).

I often wonder what IgnitionMan's "muscle car cache" looks like???

I now remember that VH1 contest, they gave all of those cars to one winner.
The contest held in 1989 gave away one of every year corvette to one lucky guy.
I had forgot all about that contest until right now. and even now it still makes me mad that I did'nt win. :D
