Aubrey should be replying to this. He wrote two articles for
Late Great Chevies regarding Chev engines in Canadian Pontiacs.
EG: 235 six, 283, 327, 409 from 1962 to 1965.

I have a set of Cdn pontiac valve covers (no bowtie).

Pretty rare, but we did build em!!

All W motors in Canada came with no bowtie on the valve covers.
Not only did Canadian Pontiacs come with those motors but later years came
with 396 and 427(I'm not sure on 454).

That's mine, 409cid ;) ...
Nothing weird about it.
With the exception of mechanical cam 283's & 348's, and the fact that there was no 300HP 327 or W block available in Canada in 1962... every single Canadian Pontiac built between 1955-1968, was available and built with ANY of the current optional Chevrolet engines. In fact, one of the favourites is the 1966-1967 Acadian ( a Nova with nicer grille and trim ). Unlike in the States, these were available for both years with the vicious little 350HP 327 :deal .

Here's a 58 Parisienne HT, 348 250HP. Same size and chassis as a 58 Impala
