Dyno Don is one of the pioneers, the innovators of making a "stocker" fly, one of the first of the "top ten" guys i think of about drag racing. heck, i can think of 25 racing legends before John Force comes to mind. let alone, the sons of the original "fuel coupe" guys. Dyno had one of the very first of the flip top funny cars. he was there at the beginning of pro/stock. he had countless inventions to better the sport of drag racing. He will always be a racing hero to me and will never be forgotten by the racing community. fortunately, he is still alive...last i talked to him, he was doing well. i have heard he isnt hisself anymore and just kinda stares out the window. darn shame for a legend in our sport. pray he snappes out of the trance and returnes to normal to finish out his days. he was the first to autograph my 409-425 air cleaner lid when he saw the car on display at the "legends of drag racing" show at York PA.
sorry to ramble on......but, this has struck a nerve near my heart

I'm sure if you do a Google search of his name you'll find tons of info. He was one of the bigest names in drag racing.

Bob, when I was in California, several people close to Dyno said he has Alzheimer's, and is not doing well at all. He really doesn't recognize people any more. I think he is at his daughter's house.
Dyno did it all. You name it in drag racing, stockers, and he did it as well as, or better than all others. When I think of Super Stock, or Chevrolet in drag racing, his name, as well as Hayden Proffitt, Dick Harrell, and Ronnie Sox all come to mind at once.
They did it. They were there.

I'm sure most everyone knows this but in case someone does not. If you go to the www.google.com search engine you will notice above the box where you type in the name or subject you are searching, the word "WEB" is automatically highlighted. By clicking on the next word to the right of WEB, which is "IMAGES" you can then find photos. Unfortunately many of the photos are unrelated or of other people with the same name but.... if you weed through it there are some good images.
