Carl took Wully Bully II out for the first runs of the season today. It was a scheduled MANDRA club race held at Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ. The first pass out for the season recorded a 1.34 60' time, and a 9.86 ET :clap , at 136 MPH. Unfortunately, I was away with the family, and didn't get to witness it. He followed that effort with two more 9 second passes. For those that don't recall, Wully Bully II is the '62 Bel Air hardtop, that weighs almost 3500 lbs, and is running a 409 with 690 iron heads. We are hoping for even better times when it is fully dialed in. :)

Congrats to Steve and Carl. Any plans to run any NHRA Super gas races this year? I sure would like to see a 409 win again at a NHRA national event. Sounds like you guys could do it. Good luck

I've heard it said that the only way to get a "W" going that fast is to drop them straight down on the end of an anchor chain, I'm :? :?

Good Job... :cheers :cheers :cheers

Congratulations To The Wully Bully Racing Team For Getting Into The 9's With
Wully Bully 2 !! That's A Great Accomplishment, Considering The Engine Blew Up
In That Car At The Last Race Last Year. I Hope There Is A Way That The Team Can
Make It To Norwalk Next Week-End (June 3-5). Even Better, It Would Be Great If
The Wully Bully Racing Team Could Make It To ESTA Safety Park Drag Strip, Some
Day This Year, And Race There!!!!!!!! Regards:"ww".
