61 Impala Hood Latch Extension???????????

HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE HOOD LATCH EXTENSION THAT GOES THRU THE FRONT BUMPER GUARD TO OPEN THE HOOD? IT'S THE SMALL CHROME HANDLE WITH THE BOWTIE ON IT.

You gotta drill a hole in your existing latch, a cable goes from the piece with the Bowtie emblem through this hole. I'm assuming that you have a grille guard because this latch is a part of the grille guard.
