Lookin' mighty fine,dq,mighty fine, especially the mags, similar to the mags I use to run on the 37 chev pickup back in the mid seventies, wish Id never sold them.I'm not at all into the newer look of the wheels that are available today so I've ordered a set of 14" chrome reverse rims for my 55 chev (from Stockton wheel)that will get the 348.348 nut has been helping me out with the same conversion he has done to his car.I still love the 58 through 64 cars but don't have one right now so the 55 will have to do. lol Truck 409:cheers

I have to know, did the air bags change the ride height at all? What make are the bags, where did you buy them, how much? I can't wait to see if it handles the wheel hop issue!:cheers

Ray, no change in ride hieght. You can feel the difference in the stiffness as you add air.
You can run them on minimum air for a soft ride or add air as needed. Can be plumbed seperate or together.
I don`t think the ride quality suffers just add enough to take the sponge out.
I added more air in the right to preload. I`ll let you know how they work if the weather ever clears.Hopefully tomorow.
I have no doubts that they will eliminate the hop.
You can get them at Summit.
Air-Lift brand,,,part #AIR-60713,,,$64.95.
Listed for 58-64 full size Chevy.

Thanks for the info on the mags dq,didn't realize they were still available from any source!I would imagine the guy that refurbishes them in Portland wants a pretty penney for them, though?I usually like to run 14 inch on my cars, even the 55,just my preference.I think that particular mag wheel is timeless and looks good on just about any older car(wouldn't fit ricers, hee hee hee!)especially the 58 to 64 but look good on my 55 too, have ya got an address or web site for this guy?If so thanks again.PDP

PDP,,I think I paid about $1200 for the set. A new set of the "D`s" are around $750 but I don`t like the way they look.
You can reach Terry at http://www.mrtorqthrust.com/ Nice guy and great wheels.,,,,dq
