hi all, i got a chance to attend the "oldie gut goodie drags" sunday at woodburn oregon. 409's were well represented,saw at least 3 and there could have been more.visited with one owner/racer who wasnt on our site but had heard of it.one of the cars was running 11.70s which aint shabby! thought id just let ya know.

Sorry I missed you BC409. I was running but got beat in the first round. I was parked with the other Impalas but left when it started raining (always a threat at the Oldies race).
My car was running fine Saturday during time trails but Sunday it started slowing down. I think I have a fuel problem in either the pump or regulator. It was a shame too. I treed the guy, a '62 Impala with a 350/350, with a .007 light but my car fell off at the top end of the track. It was a close race. :dunno
Steve Gregory is the '62 409 that runs mid to high 11's. :bow He's a great guy and wished he could have gone to the KC Convention. I don't know of another 409 at the race last weekend but there were a lot of full size chevy's.
All of us will be back to Woodburn in August for the Hot Rod Nationals. I hope you can join us then. :cheers
