409 truck motor what's it worth

A buddy of mine just got two 409 high perfomance 64 truck motors any Idea on what's these are worth he's thinking about trading one for a 62 chevy if he can find a trade and putting the other one in that 62 chevy thanks tman

tman535 Never heard of a high performance truck motor. Complete , uncracked truck motors sell on e-bay from 1,200 to 1,500 dollars.

You don't normaly see the words "high performance" and "truck motor" in the same sentence. Unfortunately the truck engine only put out about 250hp. They can hopped up though. :D If the engines happen to be real high performance engines, 400 or more horsepower, then they are worth a LOT more. It might be worthwhile to check some casting numbers just to be sure. Look under 348-409's on the home page. One of our members recently found what was suposed to be a truck engine. But somewhere along the way it had been replaced with a high performace pasenger engine. :cheers
