Is this car still racing somewhere? Looking for a 62 bubble top pro mod type drag car or project . Any info would be helpful . Was there any cars for sale at Bowling Green? How many of these cars were built for Dyno Don? Is there any Nostalgia racing sites out there? Thanks, Greg Peterson Extreme Powder Coating 507-583-7448 e-mail phoenix@lakes.com :dunno

I believe he is looking for a Bel-Air Coupe (bubbletop). A few years ago I saw a 7/8th scale Bel-Air Coupe at Pomona, being raced by Tom & Linda Jacobson, with a W type motor. Haven't seen it, or any articles on the car lately. I also would be interseted in any information on anyone who may be producing a 7/8th scale body for a 62 Bel-Air Coupe. I recently sold my Lumina, and I am in the market for a new project.

If you get any tips please get in touch with me. I built the chassis in my Lumina, and perhaps we could collaberate on the construction. Thanks, Larry.

Greg, Jack Gibbs may be able to help you locate what you are looking for and (besides) he's a great guy to get to know... :)

My race car partner, Barry Taylor, has complete set of 62 bubbletop molds. Original owner built a full fiberglass car out of these molds. Car appeared to be 7/8 scale. I guess from filling original panels with glass the finished product would be inside diminsions, there fore smaller? I saw this car for two years it was raced here in Texas. A beautiful car.Owner claimed it weighed 1,870 lb. Sold it , went to Houston, last I heard in was in New Mexico. Anybody out there with fiberglass skills? Sounds to me like there would me a market. Have another buddy that would buy one today for big money.

My dad has a mold for the 61-62 dash. Also has a custom nose mold for a 61 with an airdam instead of a bumper. I'll try to post photos later.

a 62 mod., but a 61 made over here. I think it is not so nice like real 61 in the front, but when they goes that fast everything counts. It looks narrower too.
