Does anyone make a stainless steel fuel line kit for a dual quad 409 that uses the Edelbrock carbs with the side inlets? So far I've tried Show Cars and The Right Stuff and struck out.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Matt,
No one, that I know of , makes a true bolt-on fuel line kit in 304 Stainless for the exact application that you are describing. Showcars makes a neat kit for that arrangement and thier kit includes the correct fittings that you need for those AFBs. IF you are absolutely intent on 304-SS, however, then you have have three options.

1. Make them yourself. You can buy the bending and flaring tools that you will need for the job from Eastwood.

2. Buy a kit from Showcars and then send all of the individual compenent peices to Classic Tube. Classic can duplicate them for you in 304-SS

3. Buy a stick of 1/4" mild steel line from your local autoparts store. Mock-up the fuel line arangement (easy to cut and bend) then send off those pieces to Classic Tube to have them make them up for you in either 3/8 or 5/16 line depending on your fitting choices.

Unless you've already done alot of cutting, bending, flaring and fitting fuel and brake lines, Making this your first attempt may prove to be frustrating for you.

Option #2 may be your best bet if you want it to work right the first time.

Good Luck!

You can get a braided stainless setup from Edelbrock. Here's a photo. http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/shauns65impalass409.html

I used this Edelbrock set up, got it from the local Schuck's performance store I believe. Works and fits perfect...
