...and I promise that's the last time I'll talk in the 3rd person.

I have a 62 Impala that I bought when I was 15, now I'm 28 and starting to dig into it's history. My old man was always a car buff, and over the years I've made it through some restorations, even some customizations on my vehicles and family and friends classics. So I'm no stranger to almost every aspect of bringing a beast back from the dead.

But my 62 Impala is what I hold dear. I'm the second owner. It's not special, no 409, no rare options, but it's all I know in 1962 and it's all I want in my 1962.

I'm here to learn more about other peoples cars (particularly 1962 right now).
Thanks.

Welcome, Bigburn, and thanks for telling us about your '62. My Dad had one when I was a youngin, so I thought I'd get one like his when I got to be his age (OK, a few years after that!). I've had mine for about 4 years now, but for the past two I've been slowly refurbishing everything about it.

Watch out, hang around us guys, and soon you'll be thinking "409" in your '62. Just ask Nuts :).

We'd love to see some pics if you have them!

regards,
TomK

Welcome to our forum BigBurn. Don't worry, we love the 6's and small block cars too! :D You'll fit right in here.

I have a 63 plain jane 283 Impala. The only options is had were PS and PG! (and I just changed to manual steering) :p I love it just as much this way as if it were loaded.
