I heard that someone is making a conversion kit to put a 396-454 oil pan on a W-Motor. Anyone know anything about it or is it just a wish? Max

I haven't heard of it but it may have been of use to me a few years ago when I put my 409 in the 66 Chevelle. I had to modify my pan to make it work. :(

I've emailed them for more info and prices because I could not get any prices or info on the pan conversion kit from his website. I'll advise more when/if he replies. Max:cool:

We run a beautiful Stef's aluminum 7 quart pan on one of our motors. It can be made any way you want, as they custom make each one. It cost us @ $500., with the pickup for the pump, a little expensive, but it eliminates an additional leak spot from using an adapter.

OK, Lamars website address is http://www.lamarwaldenautomotive.com/ It does not show all his stuff and when you click to check prices you get nothing. It has been that way for quite a while. I can't remember if he answered any of my previous emails regarding W-Motor parts as it was some time ago but I sure hope that he does this time! More info when I get it. Max:cool:

Still waiting for him to reply to my letter. Every time I tried calling I got a busy signal so I'm trying the snail mail route. Hopefully I'll have some kind of info ASAP. Max

I talked to Lamar last week about the lack of part pictures on his website and he said he was working on it. When you go to his website and click on a picture- it does not load so he is aware.

Go to flatlanderracing.com and you can get the Stef's pan with pickup for $369.00. Use a Melling M55HV oil pump.
