While the subject of headers is up. Does anyone have good info on how hot headers get in a street car? I found some NASCAR stuff but I don't think I'll be running the ol chevy at 6700 -7000 for 10 laps :eek:

Temperatures that you will see on headers are around 500 to 600 degrees with headers that are not powder coated. Powder coated headers will cut that heat range in half. I will never run a set that are not coated.
