Are they the big rubber o-rings? I might have some for you.

Models, to tell you the truth I haven't had one of these apart for 40 years and not sure exactly what is required. I have not taken it apart yet. I am going to go through the whiole rear axle and was lining up parts and have gotten all the bearings, but my supplier couldn't come up with the seals although he showed numbers but were unavailable. Guess I better get it apart. Seems if I remember that the O rings went under the bearing retainer. Thanks Ray

The seals are large O rings that fit on the outside of the wheel bearing. When you purchase wheel bearing they should come with the O rings. Some had two O rings some only had 1. Just did a pair for a shop here in my town last week. The only other thing there is a gasket that fits on the axle retainer plate.

Thanks guys, well I decided to open the boxes with the new bearings. Now I see why they had numbers for seals but no availability. SEALED BEARINGS. Told you it's been a long time.:doh :doh :doh

Hi Ray,

There is a seal on the axle bearing. The seal side faces the differential.

A new bearing would have a new seal - so you luck out on this one.

You are still going to need the o-rings on the bearing OD to keep the gear oil from leaking out of the housing.
