This car was a SBC car. In one of the various articles about it, they stated that they specifically wanted to not modify a 409 car.

I quess they figure people can't read. It plainly states in the article which they point to in the Ebay article that the car was a three speed small block. Yet the first line of the Ebay ad states that it was a factory 409. I quess they think it will be worth more if it was originally a 409 car before they modified it. Nice car though.
