First of all I'd like to introduce myself to all of you. Im Michael (Mike) Bell, I'm a retired truck driver, who lives in south central Missouri- The lake of the Ozarks region Since my retirement I've attempted to clone the favorite car that I built in about 1965-66 It is a 1958 Chevy Biscayne with of cource a 409 for power. I've tried to make it as period correct as possible (Torq-thrust wheels, s-w guages, sun tack and so on) This car will never be a show car or a race car but it sure is a fun car. I really enjoy when some one looks at the motor, gets a puzzled look on their face and says " What the hell is that ?" Most anyone under 50 years old!!!
I've had a lot of questions answered from many of you and some good ideas also, for this I say thank-you to all of you. I'm very much looking foward to a get togeather in the future, so that I can meet those who have advised me in the past and put faces to a lot of names. Thanks again for this site and those who make it what it is!!!! Mike

Greetings, Mike!

I'm up in Columbia, MO, not too far from you. We also have another 1958 connoisseur (MW: "one with knowledgeable and sophisticated discrimination") onboard who also hails from the Ozarks and goes by the name of Roy, aka "Tripower".

I'm just getting my '62 Impala together, first 409 car in what I hope to be a large lineup of W-powered X frame cars :).

Cheers!
