Wagons are a hot item. and for how solid that car looked the price seems to be about what these cars are going for now. Wagons can be a good investment car, so don't overlook them just yet.
as with everything supply and demad dictate prices.
while the internet has helped to find some of these interesting cars and parts, it has also raised the prices.

I passed on a really nice Red 62 Impala Wagon about four years ago. I wish I had it now. It would have looked great towing the 55 to the dragstrip.:cheers

That is the SAME as the 60 Nomad that I just sold. The body on mine was not quite as good, but the interior was better, and mine was a COMPLETELY functional daily driver... 100% original car.
Mine sold for $5300 Canadian.
and I regret it:doh :cry

I just sold this 58 that my son and I restored. Beautiful car but only got $11K. Should have brought $15K. We had over $13k just in parts and materials.

A documented fat block car... wagon included of course, will be FAR more valuable than 6 cyl or small block. THAT's why the blue 60' is that much money. Same with mine... it it were a 6, it would have been $1400.
General rule: Bigger the engine, the more the car is worth:deal :p

I don't think that is the case anymore.
Good solid wagons will bring the money even with a 6 in it.
I have been watching these wagons closely for about half a year now.
I think people just want Solid sheet metal.
A lot of people don't want to deal with rusty cars anymore.

Most of these guys are buying wagons to build as a Hot Rod and are putting air ride and custom wheels, crate motors, etc......

Hit that right on the head !!! He even admits it in his ad !!
" I planned on rubbing out what was left of the paint, lowering it and putting a set of 20" American Racing Torque Thrust wheels on it so I could pull into Good Guys events but those dreams gave way to an Impala convertible"

With the price of the muscle cars and two doors,,, wagon prices have gone way up !!

Looks like he has a `61 wagon too !! I`ll take that one !!:brow ,,,dq
