See if you can spot what is not quite right with my 62 Chevy.

I'll take picture 4, because it's easy.:deal I'm pretty sure Chevrolet didn't build any Delray hardtops in 62.:scratch :D The car looks great!:beerbang

Ah, that elusive Delray Belair, a rare bird, indeed :).

Combined with its bucket seats, wooden steering wheel, and flawless finish, this one is a beauty!!!

Looks like your making good progress, wish I could say the same :(. I seem to be going two steps backwards every other day :).

How ‘bout some shots of the engine compartment!

Cheers,
TomK

Not much to see now. Wait till Spring when this bad boy goes in.

I see you converted to a dual master cylinder. I followed your footsteps :).

That 409 build looks pretty healthy. Bet you can't wait to get it paired up with that fine body. Always did like those clean lines of the '62 BA, whether post/sedan or sport coupe. Don't get me wrong, Impalas and SSs look just fine, but a sleek BA or Biscayne was the "sleeper" of the day once upon a time :).

Best,
TomK

Surely you can see what's wrong with this picture. You guys with 62s, take a look at your Left side.

Wrong is a matter of taste.......

But, in pic 1

no clutch pedal, but it's an auto (from the engine bay pic)
steering wheel from a GTO/Chevelle
tach on the right instead of the left
seats are 66 up type buckets

in pic 2

no gas filler door (is the picture flipped?)

in pic 3

filled emblem and logo on the trunk (that doesn't quite fit right)

in pic 4

the Delray emblem of course.

At least there's a W in it's future! I see nothing really wrong at all.
Great looking from what I can see.

Hmmm. I'm looking at pic #2. Is the quarter trim piece possibly upside down? Don't think it would fit correct as it tails off to contour the rear, but....

I didn't notice the gas door initially. Nice work! You didn't tuck the bumpers like Foose did, did you?

Cheers,
TomK

2 dr sedan with Delray script. (orig. Belair) 66 Impala buckets, 62 Impala console, 4 sp shifter attached to a Turbo 400, Wood steering wheel with tach on the right. No gas door on the left. (fuel cell in the trunk) Chevrolet lettering and badge remove from the trunk and hood. Nice going, most at car shows don't get the 62 Delray thing. Matter of fact, most have never heard of Delray.
