Welcome to the site 5509. Does 5509 mean you've got a 409 in a 55 Chevy?
Yes,I did run and 409 in my 4dr 1955 Belair.Sold it to a friend in2004.It ran 13.23 @105 w/4sp and street tires.I wonfirst place in 94 at woodburn Hot rod nat.and runner up in 96 at fall funny car meet in Pro class.Cut a .500 lite that day also.Quit before I broke something.I still get to drive it when I visit my friend. It was a crate truck motor w/690 heads, made 375hp at rear wheels.Everyone that rode in it called it Spokey. Thanks for your interest Tom

Hello 5509
There are still a few of us running 409's at Woodburn at the Oldies and Hot Rod Nationals. We've probably met at one time or another.
I was still in the Army when you were running the 55. I wish I could of seen it.
Hope to meet you this year at the track.
