Boy is it ever good to be back I have really missed looking in on the site. Thanks Bob for your help in getting me started again. I now am located in mid Missouri about 70 miles south of Tom K. We have built a 30X48 shop and I can now walk out and work on the 58 without going to a storage building. Ain't life great?:D Roy

Roy, good to have you back on line!
Now that we are closer, we have no reason not to get together. I am clsoing in on finishing the '62SS (worked on in for 6 hours tonight) and would love to get together with you in the coming months. Maybe I can drive the new car over to see you for the "shake down voyage" :). Or since yours is actually driveable you can come up to Columbia?
Ronnie's right, I already have the next project in mind and need space to just store all the stuff I've been collecting :).
Cheers!

:clap AH it is good to back among friends. We have cleared land and built the shop building since Nov. 1st. It is good to have all my tools and car all in one place. Tom K it would be great to meet you this spring. I hope you still have a spare 409 crank laying around. That is what I want to put in the 348. Tom O where are you going to race this year now that KCI has closed ir's doors? Also is that new drag strip by Nevada going to materialize? Gosh it is good to talk about cars and drags again. Roy
Roy – Good to have you posting again!!! Sometime, somewhere this winter we need to meet up with Tom K. You know, I have heard the rumor about KCIR all year and even stronger in December. I have seen posts on some forums from KCIR indicating that they have not been sold and will be racing in 2006. The heads up series that I race in has already set a track rental and dates from them for 2006. You are more than welcome to come over and race in the heads up events as it is open to everyone. I have even received email from KCIR looking for topics to include in their newsletter. I have heard that a drag strip is going to be included in the HUGE state of the art dirt track that Lucas Oil is finishing up east of Nevada MO. Take a look at the web site!!!!

DQ remember last year we were talking about having a shop building and putting a RV in it. Well that is what we have done. Although we plan on a house as soon as money can be had. I'm sitting here this morning drinking coffee and looking out the window at the 58. I am also looking out the front window at a beautiful sunrise, best of both worlds. It is good to have a place of our own again.:clap Roy

Good deal Roy !!
I can say that living in an RV is pretty easy. I enjoyed the easy life as there isn`t enough room to have or do more then just the necessaries of daily living.:coffee:
I do miss that but it can get old though but having the garage around it will make it enjoyable longer.
It will be a while longer until I get to make the move I planned on last year to a large garage with living quarters.
Getting a new girlfriend and business seemed to move the time table around a bit but still hasn`t change the master plan.
HOW ABOUT SOME PICTURES, you lucky guy ????:bow

I would like to post some pictures but my camera makes the pictures to big for the site. I have tried to reduce them but haven't been successful. I had the 58 outg yesterday and was washing and cleaning the engine compartment. My neighbor came over and began a conversation that lasted for 2 hours. If you are lonely just pull the car out.:p Roy

Roy, (and anyone else in need) Give Irfanview a try for resizing pics: http://www.irfanview.com/
It's free and really works well. I use this to resize pics all the time. I have mine set up so when I double click on a picture file, it opens up with this program. It works with any pic file and even wavs and MP3's! (plus many others)
If you have a whole lot of pics to do, try Pix resizer. This little beauty will do a whole folder of pics very quickly. I use this when I take pics off my digital camera. It saves alot of time over doing them one by one. You can get this at many places but here is one I found: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pixresizer.html
