Why do you think there is such a price difference between the current Carter AFB and the Edelbrock AFB? I have been watching the Ebay site, and a nice clean used Edelbrock is around $100-130, same condition Carter Competition is $30-60. I must be missing something. Both built in Italy by Weber. Federal Mogul has discontinued the Carter Carb, but parts are the same as Edelbrock. Waaaaaas up?

models, sometimes you cant figure out e-bayers. I guess it is the Edelbrock name. A few months ago I needed an Edelbrock Performer intake for a plain-jane small-block. Millions are out there. Many are on e-bay at any given time. The crazy thing is that bidding starts at $20 , but they all close at $80 to $100. I finally got tired of trying to get a good deal and ordered a new one for $105. Why would a lot of people spend so much on a used intake? Yes, I am comparing apples to apples. Common Edelbrock Performer intake. I cant figure it out. I need a couple of 600 cfm also, and will try to buy Carters because of the price.
