P.S.

Doesn't show up when I do a regular search on 409???

Saved this under favourites a little earlier.

This, I think, explains why all the "Z11" equipped '62s had the same open element air cleaner. It is not the regular '62 409/409 minus the snorkle ring. The base plate is different...dropping down more over the carbs (see Photo) which provides more hood clearance (as the seller says) due to the higher rise intake.

Tom,I'm curious why would you spend $6,409.09 on this auction if you don't have the short block to complete the engine? What would you do with these pieces :dunno

Tom,I'm running Stahl Headers that are made for a 62 Chevy, they would clear the steering linkage but not the gear on the left side, the right side fits great.
