View Full Version : Are You Getting This Kind of Spam?

If you are getting messages - sometimes a few, sometimes 20 or many more per day - from a spam engine that sends stuff that looks like this:

From: Á¾ÇÕ¿ùµå" <u83128j8302g@Yahoo.co.kr>

Subject: Á÷ÀåÀÎ,°ø¹«¿øÀ»À§ÇÑ °¢Á¾ Á¾ÇÕÁ¤º¸È¸»ç ÀÔ´Ï´Ù

please say so. It's just random ASCII special characters and spoofed addresses. We can discuss it because there is an investigation of this particular offender and "they" are accumulating evidence. I guess many others have complained about it and "they" are claiming the intention is to file charges. I don't know exactly who the "they" is, but I inquired of past professional associates that watch the Internet for suspicious abuse and they passed my information forward to the "they" people.

Not to be too dramatic, but the supposed concern is that this may be just bothersome for now, but may be used later in an attempt to cause widespread more serious trouble. I don't know if this part is true because I think I know who's doing it and they are probably not malicious, just weenies. Vanishingly small ones. But they have attracted attention.

Bob, don't pay any attention to Ray. He is already in denial. He gets delusional at times, too. Has dreams of racing and winning. :rofl :rofl :rofl Along about the first weekend in June, he will be back on the ground and more sensible.

Michael (TM) , I sent this of to a Intel friend of mine and he thinks all you need is a Korean translate from MS Office to read that message. .co.kr is from Korea.

BTW,,, the email address I have for you doesn`t work . Send a new one to me if you would, dq

A lot of it is from a server in Korea, but it's just being routed through there. It changes often. Like I said, we think we know who's doing it. They slipped up. The reason I asked here is to be sure that my address book had not been taken and some of you got put on this list too. Or that someone here had theirs taken or the membership addresses might have been compromised. Bob has secured them well, but just checking.
