I just reupholstered the lower rear seat for my 72 Chevelle and I'm already getting worried about keeping these clean. Just installing it got it dirty!
I plan on putting a beach towel or similar on the seat when I drive it but interiors get dusty and when you wipe it down, it will probably smear.
Looking for something good to clean with.
Here's a few pics:

Bob, Other then MarHide it black your stuck with a white nightmare !!:rofl
I`ve had white interiors. They look great when clean but,,,
I used a product called Blast. You can get it at any detail supply shop but make sure you follow the delution recommendations. It is strong and will etch glass at 100%.
Other then that this stuff is the best for cleaning interiors ,, dq

Thanks guys. The plan is to NEVER get these seriously dirty, just the normal accumulated dust/dirt that gets in all cars. NO one is sitting on these without a towel down first, including me. :D
Can't wait to see these babies in contrast with that Hugger Orange paint! :beerbang

Bob, never worried too much about how clean the rear seats were. Tried to keep them fairly clean, but mostly tried to keep them convenient. Pretty good sized. The big question is what color is the headliner. Will it show foot prints?????????

Here is the finished product. :brow I got this upholstery thing down now. :p Discovered I was sitting on 5 broken springs and never knew it! I just welded them back together and all is well once again.
These clean white seats make the rest of the car look like junk but just give me some nice weather and I'll change that! :D
The white will look much better in contrast with Hugger Orange over the Golden brown it has now.
Well, on to the door panels... (unassembled type)

Had a new (well, it was a repo) '65 GTO, black with white interior and I worked in a foundry at the time---had to keep the interior covered most of the time.

DQ, I should have a door panel pic later. :p Can't wait to start showing the body/paint pics but just realized, it's Feb 1st! (no garage to work in means I WAIT!)
Steve, I'm going to keep these covered as much as possible too. I bought a black twin bed sheet to toss over the rear seat and will be getting 2 black bath towels for the fronts.
The idea is to keep them covered when not driving the car and put one towel down on driver seat while driving.
Kind of sucks to keep these beauties covered most of the time but white is white... At least I'll be able to look at them while I'm crusing. :D
I got the unassembled driver door panel done yesterday. Took me over 3 hours! If your in a hurry, buy the assembled ones but if you like to budget your money and do the work yourself, these are the way to go. I'm sure I'll get alot quicker doing the next one today. :brow

I would actually be careful about sitting on a towel (a colored one, at least) while driving. Any perspiration, whatever, may make the towel bleed a bit of color. Maybe a white towel for driving?
I know my wife's leather seats have picked up some color from her scrubs. Imagine it would be the same with vinyl, especially white.
Other than that, those look super sharp. :clap

Thanks Fatman, I hadn't thought of that. At the very least, run them through the washing machine first I guess.

i had a 67 camaro convertible once that had white interior that had been neglected by a previous owner.
after trying several different cleaners including spray nine , i tried some simple green full strength and the dirt just ran off, so i'm sure diluted it would keep a new interior nice.
it also works better than any engine shampoo i've used and has a better smell to it
