hello everyone
i just found this site---awesome!!! hope to get to know everyone . i am rather new to the 409's and 62 cheves as i am just finishing a groundup build of a 71 nova and i have a 62 bubbletop future resto project that i have been collecting parts for
although i wasn't around during the 409 era, there is something magic about a 409 and a full size chevy.i first fell in love with bubbletops when i seen rick dyers(cars) 62 prostreet car competing in the fastest street car shootouts, and wanted a pro street one.
but after seeing a 409 original, i knew this was the way to go!!!! --dog dish hubcaps and heater delete:beerbang
sadly though i might be selling the car to buy a house, not sure yet if thats the best idea, or just go with higher mortgage instead. car needs total resto, but i've been collecting parts for a year and a halve now. descisions descisions
well anyway --hope to be able to chat with some of you and may need your help since i am new to this type of car:)
take care

Welcome to the site. 62 Belairs are hard to come by, I hope you don't have to sell it. Good luck.:cheers

Sixty2Bubble,

Welcome to the site.... There is a wealth of information available here and a group of good people to just swap stories with. I guess I'm a little confused on which car you might sell Nova or Bubble ?? Of if you are like the rest of us and just lusting after a 62 BubbleTop w/409 ?? Either case WELCOME, we are looking forward to learning more about you and your projects...:coffee:

Welcome aboard! You probably have a lot in common with many of the members here on this Forum :). Collectively we have a lot of experience that you can tap into.

Here's an introductory trial free offer of some sage advise: Don't sell any of your stuff :) :) :). And buy that house, along with any parts you need :).

Trust us, you'll regret the day you did.

We will allow you to sell the Nova in order to acquire more 409 parts for your dream car, or the car itself. Note I am not recommending this either, as I used the word "allow"...

How's that for free advise? It doesn't get any better than that (and you always get what you paid for...).

Good luck with your project, and the decisions. But do buy the house!

Cheers,
TomK

Hello Sixty2, welcome to the site. You will find a lot of answers here and helpful guys with a lot of knowledge on the W motors. Here is my 2 cents on your situation with the two cars. I have been looking for a 62 for three years and have never found one I could afford or wanted. Mostly junk or great expensive cars! I would hang on to that 62. You will hate yourself for letting it go and may never be able to get another one. Prices are getting real wacky out there so I would reconsider keeping it. So that is my 2 cents for what it is worth. Glad you are aboard and post some pictures when you can. We love pics. Walt in Vt :)
