I just want to see what a original one looked like. What color everything is, what stickers are on it, where the stickers are. Just little detail stuff. Everything on my '60 it either the color of dirt, rust, or greese. You cant even tell that it was blue at one time. :doh

Thanks for the pics. I see more blue on yours than I do on mine. I wish mine had the oil filter too.
This is what mine looks like...

you might check ebay? i seen a nos oil filter kit on there a while back. it is just a bolt on, none of the 216/235 style engines had one that i know of? i had a 60 bel air 2 door some years ago, it was a 6 cly powerglide. i found a badly abused 4 door donor car with 283 powerglide and completely swaped engine/trans over. it had more power and got BETTER gas miliage with the V8. i don't recall any stickers on the 6 cly. maybe a instuction label about the air filter? good luck on the project. doc

This the 235 that I put in my 51 chevy truck. Before. Factory dual exhaust and oil filter. Converted to 12 volt system.

Heres some new pics of the 235. Sorry about the pic quality, it was starting to get dark outside. I think I've done pretty good keeping the original look....

Thanks doc! Its going to be driven for sure. I just wish the rest of the car looked as good as the old 235 does now.
