How much would a 409 out of a 62 fire truck that runs well, stamped (T0731QD)(block #3830814, heads I think, I didnt look but should be 3819333). worth? This motor seems to be in great shape with 30,000 miles?

Andrew, I think we pretty much agree that a 409 truck core in good shape is worth between $1,000 and $1,500. The way prices are headed , no telling what it would be worth next year. Buy it if you can.

Selling it on Ebay in the Chicago area brings more money than out in the boonies. Big Hot Rod/Rat Rod following it the midwest. I would say easy $2000 for a complete running 409 truck engine.
