i am not sure on this but, a friend of mine had a 62 impala with a 327/300 engine manifold #3844459. i think it had a plate between the intake and carb from the factory? not really an adaptor but a spacer of some sort, maybe for the heat cross over for cold weather operation?. there is a cast iron intake for 327/275 or corvette 327/300 in certain years with a square flange holley carb base #3872783. i believe you could use this one for a direct carter AFB bolt on. doc

"chevy manifold" on the eBay brought at least on up per page. Should be able to score one under $50 if you wait to find one in cheap shipping range. The ads with the "C" word seem to go higher...

Doc......The 3844459 manifold is from the 1964-65 300 hp 327 with an AFB. It had a micarta spacer about 1/4" thick with various gaskets, not an adapter. The manifold originated in 1962 under another casting #. The major difference in 1962 was the distributor got it vacuun from a hollow carburetor stud.
