I've seen these brackets for the W-blocks and was wondering if they'll fit under a stock 1961 hood:

I figured one of you guys would know.
Thanks in advance.

I suspect they would be too tall. You'd likely want to use the "low profile" version, instead.

Hi: the brackets in picture are for 348/409 highmount street rod. I just installed a set on my 1931 F**D 5 window coupe high-boy. :)
I believe the low mount brackets will fit underhood.
Why not call alan grove components and ask them?
Best 409 regards

The Belair
Hey Nuts.....how bout an update on your beauty?
Well not much to report right now... My job has kept me pretty busy since I got the dyno and she's still setting in the shop torn apart. I also took the front fenders off, removed all the side trim and trunk trim to get it redone. Hope to have everything back together by the first show, 29 Apr, here in Idaho. Wish me luck !!!!:coffee:

If someone has a Sanden Compressor on their '09 with these low-mount brackets, could they send me a picture of it installed in the car?
I would REALLY appreciate it.

Holy surface rust, Batman! Why didn't you at least hit them with a can of Krylon?:scratch

Michael, I noticed the fans you are using on the radiator. Is that a stock radiator? And if so, what fan unit are you using?
Sorry to ask on this thread, but just noticed it.

Fred: Why didn't we look Michael's great looking El Camino over when we had lunch that day?

Well, I went out and looked at the outside when I left. Didn't look under the hood. Why? I don't know. Brain fade, I guess. Sure looks nice, though. Going to have to have another look, for sure.

Fred you do have brain fade,:doh you did look under the hood to see if your headers would fit. in fact how are you doing on them?:dunno the rad. is a u.s. rad-desert cooler 4 core fits like stock. the fans are dual flex-a-lite. but you can get RV.
dual fans that pull about 2 times the air,( which i did not know about at the time):bang these do a great job. i got them because the folks here said this is the way to go, and it is.:bow
MKIISS we were having a good time just b.s.ing:hug
threeimpalas the rust is very close to the orange, doing a shack down before i redo the motor....then repaint and chrome, when i get the a spare few grand.
mac1 and daddys409 you are both welcome.:beerbang mike

Now that you mention it---------------------------------- What can I say? What a memory I have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does that radiator mount in the same place. Looks like it does. The dimensions would be the same, then. My radiator is a good one, 5 core equivalent. Don't need more radiator, just fans. If they work down there in the summer, I'm sure they would do what I need. Going to look into them.
Thanks for the reminder. Darn, Michael, you didn't have to do it right in front of every one. Now they will wonder about me too. I already wonder enough!!!!!!
